     A few quality schools of striped bass moved into the Middle Chesapeake Bay this week.  Jeff Bridges, Bruce Williams (pictured above), and John Cronan landed over 60 stripers with the large majority being between 17 and 23 inches.  The action started over 38' of water where fish were stacked from 5' to the bottom.  The crew aboard were learning how to use light spinning tackle with lures, and they took advantage of the opportunity while learning a variety of techniques.

The most productive lures this week were 4" soft plastic baits fished on a 3/4 ounce jighead.  I know many of you are looking forward to catching stripers on top water, but the opportunity just hasn't been available as of yet.  Hopefully things will change this week while these nice stripers are in the area.
