Message: Tom,

I should be thanking you. I was raised thinking that you only fished for perch and hardhead with bait (I grew up during the moratorium). My brother and I bought a 24 CC at the boat show this year and are still learning along with our dad, especially with anything artificial. I've taken the information from your website and actually laminated it and put it in the electronics box as critical information. I am sure our technique is still rough...but learning is half the fun.

I discussed with my bro about hiring a guide to come out on our boat in our neck of the woods (we berth in Grasonville) and give us some jigging, trolling, chumming, bottom fishing tips that compliment the boat and our area. At $3.50 a gallon, using the Eastern bay to its fullest will be big this year. We'd love to get a recommendation.

I am grateful for your note; you are a local celebrity of sorts for us Tidal Fish addicts and truly appreciate your knowledge posted.

By the way, I did not go too far in revealing my areas of luck in my posting, but in case you have a customer that is looking for pretty reliable action (and a great place to hide from unfriendly weather), I was on the south tip of Parson's Island (the Hook) and the hole at the north east tip of Prospect Bay (I think it is referred to as the Eagle's Nest).

Kindest Regards,
Don
